When you sign up for a service using your email or social login, you’re often added to one or more mailing lists sometimes without realizing it. Over time, your inbox can fill up with emails you no longer want to receive, such as:
Newsletters
Marketing campaigns
Notifications and alerts
Under the CAN-SPAM Act, senders of marketing emails are legally required to include a way to opt out of future communications. Polymail detects these unsubscribe links and makes it easy to take action—no scrolling or searching needed.
How to Unsubscribe in Polymail (Web and Desktop)
If a sender includes an unsubscribe link in their email, you’ll see an Unsubscribe ⓧ button in the header of the message.
Click this button to view your opt-out options and remove yourself from future emails from that sender—directly from within Polymail.
It’s a quick and efficient way to clean up your inbox and take control of your subscriptions.
You can also unsubscribe from the command center:
Open the Command Center (Mac: ⌘ + J, Windows: Ctrl + J)
Type "Unsubscribe"
Press Enter
If the sender includes an unsubscribe link, Polymail will take care of the rest.
What if There's No Unsubscribe Option?
Some emails don’t include unsubscribe links and there are a few reasons why:
They may be transactional messages (e.g., receipts or account alerts)
The email might be non-marketing or one-time in nature
In these cases, Polymail gives you the option to block the sender entirely. This ensures that future messages from that address are kept out of your inbox.
Stay in control of your inbox—one command at a time.
